The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta ("MEND") is a militant indigenous people's movement dedicated to armed struggle against the exploitation and oppression of the people of Niger Delta and the degradation of their natural environment by foreign multinational corporations involved in the extraction of oil in their homeland.

It's also a new drum and bass mix by none other than yours truly.

Some shit I recorded a few days ago.

Peace is the privilege of the wealthy and the free. Most of the world lives under the thread of violence every day. This is true to a growing extent even in the United States.
Nature is a brutal place to live. Humans live in nature, are a part of it, and it's brutality is theirs.
"Civilization" exists entirely on the backs of brutalized and oppressed people all over the world. Pardon me if I dare to suggest maybe it wasn't such a good idea in the first place.
To those seeking an explanation of these events, I refer you to Robert S. McNamara, who said: "You can't change human nature." There is nothing to blame for this but simple humanity.
Humanity is imperfect, the world is violent and brutal. There is nothing we can do to change these facts. As a result, sometimes innocent people get shot and killed. It sucks, but that's life.
Finally, I'd like to say that if it were me in one of those classrooms when this shit went down, I would have been much happier with a .45 in my backpack than without.
